In these strange but timeless stories we learn much about marriage, God, and ourselves.

Core Values

Adult Christian Education at Living Word…

  • …emphasizes “Study the Bible” over “Come to Bible Study”.
  • …is a means of teaching & challenging eternal souls who are not yet trusting in Christ.
  • …is a means of nurturing & equipping believers, not an end in itself.
  • …focuses on teaching God’s Word, either verse by verse or topically.
  • …emphasizes application; that is, replacing lies we believe with the truth of God’s Word.
  • …is accessible, with a variety of offerings and definite commitments (entry/exit points provided).
  • …uses material consistent with our doctrinal convictions and understandings

Small Group Studies

Living Word has at least four small groups already meeting. These groups meet at various times and study different topics. Look for more in the future, and contact Jerry & Jeanette Schmidt for more information
(371-2750; jteam5@excite.com).

In addition to the core values of our class settings, above, small groups at Living Word…

  • …provide context for mutual support and encouragement.
  • …balance tight relationships w/external focus.
  • …invite new participants primarily through personal invitation.
  • …looks beyond “end” of curriculum.
  • …identify and train future leaders.
  • ...intentionally multiply to start new groups.

Please call 361-3044 for additional opportunities.
